Make a DonationThe Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation is dedicated solely to helping people build, maintain and restore their bone and joint health. Your donation is an investment in helping to keep Canadians on the move and supports our critical programs that help hundreds of thousands each year. Patient Education and Support: With highly regarded education materials and our peer support program, Ortho Connect, the Foundation links new patients with the information and support they need to be knowledgeable, active participants in their restored mobility.
Research: The Foundation is a rare source of funding for new research that leads to improved bone and joint health, mobility and function, and improved patient care.
Prevention: Canadians are concerned about bone and joint disorders second only to cancer, yet have little understanding of how to avoid them. The Foundation strives to teach Canadians how to prevent bone and joint diseases, thus reducing the demand for orthopaedic surgery.
Ways to GiveMake a one-time donation, become a monthly supporter, or give in honour of someone special. You can make your donation:
Every dollar is so gratefully received and wisely invested. We've never used external fundraisers, and don't ever share our donor lists. And, we're happy to tell you more about how we work to fulfill our mission - just give us a call to ask us your questions! How do you donate on-line?Click on the 'donate now' button (at right) and follow the instructions to donate on-line through CanadaHelps.org. The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation has partnered with CanadaHelps.org, a not-for-profit charity portal that provide a cost-effective way for smaller charities like us to offer an on-line giving option to our donors. All information entered is strictly confidential and securely protected. Donor information is only provided to the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation. How do on-line donors get a receipt?Donations made through the CanadaHelps.org website are treated in the same way as regular receiptable charitable donations. The Canada Revenue Agency has approved the use of electronic tax receipts. Usually within minutes of completing a donation, you will receive an e-mail notification confirming the transaction. Because CanadaHelps.org is a registered public foundation, you will receive an e-receipt for a donation to CanadaHelps.org. However, rest assured that the donation is processed and funds are directed to the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation bank account within just a day or two. Your e-receipt is all you need to complete your personal income tax return. Can on-line donors make an anonymous donation?Yes. All that is required is that the donor checks the appropriate box when prompted and anonymity is guaranteed. But remember: if you make your donation anonymously, we won't know who you are - so while we can't thank you directly, we want you to know that we're sincerely grateful for your gift!
