Ortho Connect
Are you newly referred for bone and joint surgery? Do you still have non-medical questions after seeing your surgeon? Click here to go to the orthoconnect.org website. Ortho Connect is a peer support program through which newly referred orthopaedic patients are matched with volunteers who have already undergone similar surgical treatment. Patients connect with trained volunteers by phone to learn a real-world patient view of what to expect from their treatment. Ortho Connect helps patients to feel confident and informed through providing an experienced, understanding ear. Orthopaedic patients, their caregiver or family member may complete a request for services form and return it to the Foundation. Based on the information on the request for services, the Foundation will match clients with a volunteer who has had a similar surgery and lives close by. Once a match is determined, the Foundation will contact the volunteer who will be given the contact name and phone number only for the client. The Foundation will advise the client of the name of the volunteer that will be contacting them.
