Disorders

Our bones and joints are so fundamental to our day to day lives, that their injuries and disorders have a surprising impact.  Suddenly being unable to walk or drive, or gradually enduring pain that prevents standing or picking up a child makes day to day life a new struggle – even if they’re temporary.  When these do happen, learning as much as possible helps to make choices that enable treatment and healing – to become conscious participants in our recovery.  Knowing about them before they happen provides incentive to prevent them.

These pages provide basic information about common injuries and disorders of our musculoskeletal system.  Use them to inform yourself, and be sure to seek medical care if they happen to you!
